Late in the year of 2006, Michael Mixon, the founder of Mixon development, decided that it would be good to use his vast knowledge in technology to provide consulting services throughout the Metro Atlanta and North Georgia area. As a student at the University of Georgia, Michael Mixon established relationships with many of his classmates in the Computer Science department, as well as in the Terry College of Business. Together, they provided personal computing support, website design, and web application development. As the number of requests grew, and the need for websites, desktop support, and web applications became abundant, the group of techies decided to launch their separate firms focusing on their individual strengths.
